Re: TURKEY TEAM #2

[ QUOTE ]

why do you guys have camps? we just go and get permission for a woods and go hunt and camp at the house

Why you ask!!

#1 We belong to a camp of GREAT Christian men that love to share hunting and campfire time together. I just love to spend lots of time up there.

#2 Just like PA said we lease about 600 aceres and there are lots of turkeys and quiet a few deer that most of the time it's just the members hunt there.

Re: TURKEY TEAM #2

you need to read the rule first. you will need to take pictures of the tags and the bird and such.

you will also have to measure it a specific way.

and i do think you have plenty of leases and private land in Ohio. no matter where you are there are these things. some people work very hard to be able to afford or belong to a club that can own private land.

my season starts on the 28th

Re: TURKEY TEAM #2

Me and my dad went driving around the property we've hunted the last few years. I think we saw like, 2 or 3 hens, and a trio of birds out in a field. I'm sure at least 1 of the birds out in the field was a gobbler. The property isn't the greatest, but there are some birds on it. We are still trying to find somewhere better to hunt though.

Howdy folks.... I just have not been on the computer much this spring.. I do that from time to time..... Congrats on your turkey with a bow huntinguide.... very nice...

Our season here in Indiana starts the 25th.... I may go out to Missouri...just not sure yet....

Finally heard some birds this past Sun. Saw three different hens all by themselves later in the day... my guess going to lay an egg.... I should be able to put the smack on one... I hunt nothing but public land here...

WOW i seriously didn't realize turkey season was only a week and 2 days away. Thats crazy. I need to break out the calls and practice a little bit. Congrats huntinguide. And good luck to the rest of you guys. I think my chances are fairly decent that I will shoot one this year. We had a warm winter, so not many birds would have died from the cold/snow this winter. A few years ago, the population took a beating from a huge snowstorm we had.

Nice going there Huntinguide. Woo Hooo thats a monster of a bird.

I was out scouting this mourning and heard nothing, go figure this was the best weekend we have had in over a month. So tonight I decided to go out back of my house and watch the feilds that I missed a whale of a gobbler last year, so I was walking up this hill and in the corn field stood a turkey in full strut. I hit my knees and started to look for more birds and low and behold there were 3 jakes a mature gobbler and 1 lone hen. I was watching these birds and out of the woods steps out a monster of a gobbler and he went running for the other birds. 5 min later the birds were fighting and gobbling and jumping all over each other. Wish I would of had my video cam with me because I have never seen that before.

Come on next weekend. LOL And I bet the check mark is the bird that huntinguide has registered for the team. Thats my guess.
