Re: TURKEY TEAM #7

Good deal....we have secured the name Run N Gun.

Hopefully it will be more gunning than running grin.gif

Joe and I are so looking forward to this years turkey season. I was up at our cabin in Sullivan the last few days hunting crows and coyote. 2 Crows and no yotes frown.gif Crows are too dang smart this late in the season and the yotes...we all know how crafty they are.

But anyway....

Our land and the surrounding land is covered in turkey tracks and alot of that "J" shaped poop! Thats good poop! I didn't see any birds or deer for that matter, but to be out on the top of a mountain breathing that cold air soaking up the scenery...ahhh...I don't have to tell you guys about that...you already know grin.gif

Re: TURKEY TEAM #7

Wow, nice looking toms! No sign of turkeys anywhere on the farm land where I usually turkey hunter....population has gone down big time on it. Probably in April when things thaw out I'll start checking the state land and try and get an idea of the lay of the land and where turkeys are hanging...

Re: TURKEY TEAM #7

Well I may be able to do something I'd love to do this spring turkey season. The NWTF Women in the Outdoors Event is holding a hunt for women May 25-26 about 3 hours East of where I live. The lady who is heading it up is like director of the region for the NWTF and I met her last year at my first (and only) WITO event. anyway she told me about it last year and they are doing it again this year, I looked on the website. I think it was something like $150 or $200 to stay there, get food, and be guided on a turkey hunt. So I'm seriously considering doing it with my tax return money! It sure would be fun I think.
