Re: TURKEY TEAM #8

Finally the weather is warming up so I can get out and do some patterning. I've got a new Pure Gold .670 choke and some 6 shot Hevi-13s to run through my 935. Did get to shoot my sons 870 with a Primos Tight Wad .570 with some 20 g 6 shot Hevi-13s and it didn't do too bad out to 35 yds. The wind was blowing a bit more than was expected. I think I'm going to drop down to a Tru glo .565 to see what happens.

Re: TURKEY TEAM #8

Just thought ya all should know that MorganRaider will be getting his shotgun and equipment together today. wink.gif

In a non-related turkey matter Yesterday at the big track meet Martin had a fun day. He did not place but he also did not finish last in any event.

It was great watching him run the 100 meters,200 meter,300 High Hurdles and Long Jump.

Martins 100 meter time was 12.99 seconds. Which is great considering his best time 2 years ago was about 16.0.)

He is almost to the point where he can chase the gobblers down afoot. grin.gif

Well, my son and I went out today to set up our blind. Youth season comes in next Saturday and we are feeling pretty good about our chances! We saw several turkeys while on the farm and the sign is all over. Hope the weather turns for the better, but regardless we'll be out there and enjoying the woods again.
