RangerClay
Woohoo Woohoo! I finally sealed the deal on that piece of property I mentioned about a month ago with all of the young turkeys. I talked with landowner yesterday and he said that no one hunts the land. When he said that I almost fell out of my chair. I will probably take a day off from work and hunt it the first week of season.

GobblerBuster618
Thanks Ranger. Yesterday the opener was pretty um crappy only heard a gobbler way off. Today different property had 6 bad boys gobbling at me. Shoulda Sealed the deal on one at 25 yards but he musta caught movement i think. Had another one make an appearance at 35 yards or so gobbled at my calls and just left kidna like telling me come here hen or im gone. Its only a matter of time before i score for us. Is the Rest Of Our Group Still Around???
GobblerBuster618
Heard probably ten different birds this morning. 4 being jakes. Had a Jake Circle twice at 15 yards had the gun up on him once but decided it wasnt his time yet.
Guest hookedonhunting
Finally got one(about three weeks ago but haven't had time to post with hte bird and am busy with finals)... not very big though. he weighed about 18 lbs 10 1/2 in beard and 7/8 in spurs. well actually i killed 2 toms in one shot. wonder if i can post them both lol. anyway, it is a very hard season this year... we had a real warm febuary (reaching mis 80's) and alot of the birds were doing their thing then. then around the first of march we had several days in the high 20's. That freeze wiped out all of Ga's peach crop and 80% of our apple and Pecan crop. it has been a tough season all year. I was hearing 3-5 birds every trip early and now the last two days (all day) i've not heard or seen a bird!?!? very unusual. Anyway i'll get the pictures up soon whenever i get the chance. may be a few days. Good luck to yall!

RangerClay
No luck for me this morning:( I talked to a couple jakes but I bumped them getting set up. Walked a little further then started talking to a couple more. I had them worked up and coming in till the hens led them off. A few hours later I called in a hen. I found out later that the land owner allowed two people to hunt the same property for the last two days. I was disappointed to say the least. This was going to be my best bet for getting on some birds. I will be trying my old stomping grounds on Saturday. Hopefully things will get better.
