VTbowman
Re: TEAM #25: Strutbuster I was planning on going out to set up a pop-up ground blind over my last years food plot and hang my cam too. Then we got a massive snow storm the last 2 days so it looks like that plan will have to wait for the snow to go away.
VTbowman
Re: TEAM #25: Strutbuster Calling Gobblerbane08! Team: It looks like we have a no-show. If anyone knows of this member or has talked or PMed him/her please inform him he/she is at risk of being replaced. Strut10 is asking if we need/want a replacement as there are other RT members that want in.

Randy
Re: TEAM #25: Strutbuster Mornin' everybody!! Sorry I showed up so late For some reason I missed the deadline to sign up. Apparently I'm "in" now. Martin already told everybody but, WI seasons are only 5 days, and there are 6 different weeks that you can get drawn for. I got the week of May 2 thru May 6. That first week of May is usually pretty good. The hens are usually sitting on their nest and the Gobblers are on the prowl. Good luck Fellow Strutbusters!! Guest NorfolkHunter
Re: TEAM #25: Strutbuster Welcome Randy! Hopefully now that we have a full team everyone can get the ball rolling. Who is going to take the first bird? Saw something promising yesterday. The birds are starting to break up. Saw 3 toms on one property and a lone tom on another spot I hunt. Can't wait. Guest NorfolkHunter
Re: TEAM #25: Strutbuster Went scouting this morning. Was treated to my first gobble of the season. I also saw my first strutting tom. Here he comes. Closer. Closer yet. He was at about 4 yards here. I never called at all. I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. Thigns are starting to heat up in my area. I'll keep you posted. Devin

VTbowman
Well there is one less Tom running around my property! Unfortunately it was not of my doing.... Looks like either someone took a pop shot from the road (30 yards away) or a fox got lucky. BUT.... It does tell me there are birds out there... My deer hunting buddie said he got a few birds on his trail cam this week too way up on the ridge. I am feeling better about hunting the property now. To bad the fox could not of gotten a jake though. LOL
