texastrophies
I have a Panasonic Model DMC-LZ3 digital camera that also takes movies. (no sound tho) After downloading a number of smaller clips to my computer, I tried using Windows Movie Maker to combine them into one movie and then add music to it. When I go to bring the short clips into MM, I get this: The file C:\pictures\ATV\muddy gras 2007\P1000521.MOV is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker. I think the problem is the .MOV. I know there is software that will convert it to an acceptable format, but is there anyway to download the movie in the correct format to start with? And any suggestions on the conversion software? Thanks
wtnhunt
Re: Help with movies Using pinnacle studio 10 here, have honestly not paid much attention to what format it stores the movies in, but pretty sure they are able to be played back in the different players loaded on this computer including windows movie maker. Seems like the stuff I have worked on outside of studio has been stored as a .avi file, some outside of studio have multiple files that make up the movie. _MD_
Re: Help with movies Here is a free download. I use this all the time to convert from one format to another. The tool does a lot. VLC
Leo
Re: Help with movies .MOV files are Apple Quicktime files. Movie maker won't deal with them. If you wanna use Movie Maker, you need to convert the files to .AVI first.
