Tominator
Re: Bus Crash Yes, horrible. I have a few students that go to Bluffton, in fact, some of us panicked about one particular student who was considering playing baseball for Bluffton, but chose Ohio Northern instead. Prayers to those families that lost loved ones.

Newarcher
Re: Bus Crash I can tell you one more thing about that place it happened....I drive past it every day on the way home. Whoever designed that exit should be feeling REALLY REALLY sorry right now. No joke, I remarked to my self one time that some bubba is going to come down 75 South in a big mobile home or tractor trailer and launch themselves right off it. That or a drunk driver. This lane is very very very short and it exits off the left hand side of the interstate....it is so short that a semi or a large bus like this couldn't possibly stop in time if they hit the ramp at highway speeds. I have seen a couple cars almost not stop in time. This ramp is on a slight curve and the lay of the land is that approaching this ramp, you are going down hill and slightly to the left. Beyond the ramp, the HOV lane curves moderately hard left just behind the ramp and disappears to the drivers. So, coming down that hill, it looks very much like that ramp is the continuation of the HOV lane and nothing more than a flyover ramp. It is almost an optical illusion. Like I said, this is so predictable that I predicted it long ago. Whoever is designing the roads in GA is incompetent. They redesigned an onramp onto to interstate from where it came beside the interstate and paralelled it for some time (to allow people to merge into traffic) to where the ramp just simply ends at a 30+ degree angle to the interstate with no running lane. It almost stops the interstate when the lights let traffic onto the interstate. On another road, they had to weave around houses so there are a lot of long, drawn out curves. Again, they merge lanes in with virtually no running lane on a very sharp curve that is slanted vastly downhill. They apparently cannot see the danger or don't care. Rant over. Prayers to friends and family of these students and hopefully they do not splay the driver's good name, this was very easy to do. If I can get a picture some day from the fast lane, I will, and then everyone can understand. New
