MichiganHuntr1
Recently there has been a big controversy over at our nextdoor neighbors. My neighbor Nancy lives in her parents house. Four years ago her husband of 12 years passed away of cancer. These two had a land contract with her parents to be paying off the house. But it wasnt on paper, but youd think you could trust your own parents right? Well after Chris died the old folks went to the township to pull a hardship case to allow them to put a trailer on the property, even though theres a house already on it. They said it would be there for two years, thats it. This was four years ago. The Trailer is still there, and the yard is nothing but a cluster. The old folks screwed Nancy out of a house, they basically reniged on her saying they dont want to move, and they wont give her the house. Even though shes payed it off. So her and her boyfriend went and found another house theyre attempting to buy. Just recently the old folks brought a fifth wheel, and parked it in the back for Nancys sister, Renee. Right next to our property line. Renee is a woman that is pure lazy, never wanted to do anything with her life, yet has had everything handed to her on a silver platter, had college payed for, decided she wanted to spend the money on a car. Blown every cent she ever had. Were basically living next to a crap hole now. They put everything right on the property line. And leave trash everwhere, the only clean one is nancy. The house looks clean, but the trailers around them, are horrible. And nothing against trailers at all, just people that cant take care of stuff because theyre just lazy I have a thing against. Well the old folks knew that Nancy was saving up to get a lawyer so she could take them to court to attempt to get the house, so the old folks are attempting to evict them. Just yesterday, I happened to look over and See Renee and the old folks yelling at her. I just exploded. Like a mini nuke went off I yelled over and said some pretty mean things towards them. Like who are they to tell her to leave, shes the only legit one, shes been paying on that house for years, and they arent even legally allowed to be on that property! 3 Families all on one property, thats less than 2 acres big. I said I was calling the township on them, since this was pathetic. Went in the house, called the township, and they said theyd look into this matter. Am I doing right by doing what I did? All those Old folks and Renee do is cause everyone trouble, and now theyre hurting good people. Just recently they came over and cussed my Dad out, who is a really good person. They were mad because Nancys boyfriend plowed our driveway out, but not theirs. And so they came over and cussed my dad out. Once again I blew up I told them never to cuss my dad out and get the heck off of our property or ill be dragging you off of it. I feel bad having to do it But a hardship case that nobody wanted has went on for too long. The old folks just want someone to pay their bills, and live freely. The trailers both run off of nancys power from the house, free of charge. It costs those people in those trailers nothing at all to live. But nancy everything. And get this, When nancy has to leave that house Nancys brother is going to be on a land contract with the old folks. Round 2 I try to be a good person, but when people hurt good people, or yell at my family members for something that had nothing to do with them I snap. Ill post some pictures in a day or so to show you what im talking about. A matter of fact, that has probably been the first thing bad ive said to anyone in a year or two. wtnhunt
Re: Am I doing Wrong? Sounds like a pretty screwed up situation. Think under the circumstances you describe here you are in the right by contacting whoever is resposible for getting the matter straightened out. Tominator
Re: Am I doing Wrong? There are zoning laws, and hopefully the township will get it cleared up. As far as the family is concerned, not much you can do about that, sad as it may be.

dartonman
Re: Am I doing Wrong? If the township doesnt help you, videotape all of the crap on the property line, and do a short but polite story on the tape, take it to the township during an open meeting..you always want witnesses, be professional at all times, and if so, meet with the states attorney in your county....its sad that the woman has to pay for those people, but look at this on paper, no emotions...get what YOU can get done for your family, ref the mess....the rest is blood or marriage issues that you will never be able to control. OJR
Re: Am I doing Wrong? You didn't do anything wrong! It is the people next door who are wrong! I would use all the means that the zoning laws of the township allow and keep after them until the trailers are gone!
