Guest Rob
I have a coyote and a beaver that some friends want tanned for a rug, but I'm not sure of the process? I use supplies from Van Dyke's when mounting deer and would like to continue with their products. If someone would let me know what to do/products to use I would greatly appreciate it! Hardwood_HD
Re: Process of tanning? i have never tanned before but Van Dykes has a ton of stuff for tanning, you can look at some supplies here http://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/subcategory/128 I'm not sure what chemicals you need to buy but they have everything
timberlandtaxi
Re: Process of tanning? To get a really soft tan its best to use a commercial tannery. Tanning Unlimited in Hermitage Missouri does a terrific job and is fairly reasonable price wise.

Guest dedicatedmarine
Re: Process of tanning? I would send it out, the big tannerys aren't that much more than you'd pay doing it yourself, and you'll know it'll be done right
