HitRmisS
One of my friends got his first deer yesterday, only a spike but a trophy to him just by being a deer. This is his fourth season to hunt and his first deer, he was really excited.
VermontHunter
Re: New hunter success Congrats to your friend..a true trophy is in the eye of the beholder...as long as he is excited and had fun that's what really counts. hunt hard and be safe.. HitRmisS
Re: New hunter success It was hard for him to hold out so long because he hunts in a no doe county so he had to wait on a buck, and he passed on small spikes fours etc. before because he wanted a good one like he saw everyone else getting, but we finally convinced him to just get a deer first then worry about horns later if you want.
