ilhnter
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget Mossberg 500, very affordable and reliable. My dad, brother, fiance, and I all shoot a 500 and we have never had any trouble with any of them. A great shotgun in my opinion.

Guest roper45
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget Depends on what you are going to shoot. Something that chamber and shoot light to mag loads.
WABS
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget I love my Browning A5s but I don't think I've EVER made a better buy than my Remington 870 Express. Low cost, low maintenance and extremely versatile!! You can't go wrong with an 870 in my opinion.
Hoyt03
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget I would def say rem 870 like all the others, just a great all around low cost gun. Another option you might want to check out is at Dicks sporting goods right now. It's a camo'd mossberg 535 with the turkey barrel and a red dot scope, but also come with an extra field barrel for shooting birds/doves. It's in Mossy Oak camo and will only cost you 300$ which isn't alot more then the 870 will run ya. Plus it will let you shoot 3.5" shells which is one thing the regular 870 can't do. LETMGROW
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget Man, for $450 you've got more choices than a high school senior football hero at a junior prom! Pick up everything in your price range and handle it. Buy what feels best to you. No doubt the 870 is great, but so are the others.
woodsman2230
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget Mossbergs are nice...Benelli Nova is amazing....and all the remingtons are great guns. The Winchester 1300 is a very nice, solid gun.
Guest IL_HuNtIn_KiD
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget We have two main guns in the family that both me and my father own. We each own a Mossberg 500( His is wood, Mines synthectic), and the Winchestor 1300 Speed Pump of which both of ares is the walnut edition. They are both amazing guns and have been through just about everything so either of those is a great gun to spend your money on.
Guest okla_bowhunter
Re: Best all around shotgun low budget [ QUOTE ] most people should agree with me here, would be the remington 870 by far, most reliable and indestructable gun on the market, the gun will outlive you and you can get wood stock one for like 250-275, and synthetic for little over 300 bucks, no doubt in my mind if your looking for a gun for turkey hunting and dove hunting low budget and reliable i would go with the 870 [/ QUOTE ] I can't argue with that. 870 will do it all for a low price

Guest osuvetmed_cowpoke
Remington 870 SuperMag shoots 3 1/2" shells and is bomb proof, will work after fully submerged and cheap too!
MUDRUNNER
Another vote for the Winchester 1300!I've had mine for about 12 years and never had a single problem with it.It has a vent rib barrel with screw in chokes and a seperate slug barrel. This thing has hunted ducks in Minnesota, pheasants in South Dakota, deer and turkey in Illinois, and everything in between and never let me down. They will definately take some abuse.
