last weekend I was out driving around watching deer herds and at the same time doing a bit of callign coyotes to end the season up, I seen a coyote about 500 yards out ina field,I stopped the truck and got my shootign sticks and was goign to take a shot but he took off I see somethign in the snow, I grabbed the spottign scope and seen a moose antler stickign out, i was so exited, we have had moose in the area for a few years and its been my dream to find a moose shed, I locked the truck up in 4wd and drove out as I got closer I was sick, it was a whole head, I then seen the spine 50 yards away all eaten, what a shame, I came back to town and went to talk to the warden, he asked me a bunch of questions about were it was and any cover and he came to the conclusion no one would shoot it and leave it in a open field and knowing me he knew I would not do it, he gave me the ok to pick it up and he stopped by and took a few pics and got me apermit to keep it, I was happy about the permit but sad about the moose,I have seen him abotu 5 times and have a few pics of him alive,he is 42 inches and has a drop on one side and is 13 by 10 points,
