Newarcher
Re: Tomb of Jesus [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I don't know if his earthy body went with him, dissentigrated (he will be the only one that doesn't need his earthly body come ressurection time), or was left. If it was left and found by the disciples, it is completely feasible that they would have put him in the family tomb like they did per custom. [/ QUOTE ] According to MY bible, when the stone was rolled away the tomb was EMPTY. No bones. Another thing they have failed to recognize..... Jesus was from Nazareth. He wouldn't have been buried where they claimed to have found his "remains". [/ QUOTE ] Well, we are talking about two different things. When the stone was rolled away, yes the body was gone. He then appeared to the disciples thereafter in human form because he told them not to touch him because he hadn't ascended yet. I forgot that part so that leads me to believe that he took his physical body with him. 1st Timothy Chaper 2 verse 5 says...For there is one God: and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus. That leads me to believe that Jesus is in human form. But I could be wrong. Sounds like it though. Wouldn't you just love to know these answers? I do believe this tomb is not of the real Jesus. I believe that IF...IF Jesus left behind his body it will never be found...much like the Arc of the Covenant. Otherwise, people would worship his bones. I forgot that part so that leads me to believe that he took his physical body with him. But if he didn't, what happened to it? [/ QUOTE ] Our hope lies in our own resurrection, when the graves are opened and we rise to meet Christ in the air. Why would the graves need to be opened if we weren't going to get new glorified bodies? If indeed when Jesus ascended into heaven after visiting with the disciples and preaching to over 5,000 after his resurrection, He left his body behind, then don't you think that would have been another big event and that there would have been at least a short blurb in the bible, that said "after he ascended into Heaven, we/I gathered his bones and laid them to rest in another tomb" Why would his disciples(witnesses) who were about to give up and go back to doing what they were doing before they ever met Jesus, after his Crucifixion, all of a sudden change their minds, and preach about a risen saviour, if they had to bury his body again ...why? They would have been preaching about a dead and buried man instead of a risen Lord and saviour, or given up again and gone home.. Instead, they were willing to preach even if it meant their own death. Jesus was not married. Why would a spotless lamb, about to die for the sins of the world take a wife? For what purpose? ...LOL...What a bunch of silly bunk He was God's "ONLY" begotten (not created like us) Son. His seed was not mean't to be passed on to a child from a wife. He came into this world for one purpose only, and that was to die for you and me.

hogwild63
Re: Tomb of Jesus Wow, great sermon pastor buckee!!!! Couldn't have said it better. (I guess that is why I didn't say it) Definately, if it could be proved that physical remains of Jesus are found and that he married any woman, his Diety would be false. johnf
Re: Tomb of Jesus [ QUOTE ] The bible never mentions his marital status and near as I can tell never mentions him living a life of abstinence either.Matter of fact Im not real sure theres anything in the bible that would directly refute the possibility, of course I been wrong before. [/ QUOTE ] Sex outside of marrage is a sin. Jesus was without sin. After Jesus' death the two women who went to the tomb were refered to as Mary Magdoline and the other Mary. If Jesus and Mary Madoline were married it would have read Marry, the wife of Jesus, and the other Mary.
