Guest 6bash
Hello all ! I am from Alabama and I am new to the hunting world. I got interested because my 13 yr son really enjoyed the outdoors. His dad for some reason can't find the time to take hin hunting sooooo, his step-dad sorta jump in and then i saw that it was really interesting from the shows i was watching with them on television. I never realized that women were doing ths as much as the men... Soooo... I started going and i LOVE it!!!! My son kinda got upset bewcause i killed a doe before he did.... I(we) can't wait for deer season to open...Still a while away...darn.....

Guest 6bash
Re: New to hunting Thanks everyone.....It's good to know there are others out there like myself.......And to let ya'll know how the hunt went..... I was hunting with my husband on his dads land up on the mountain... We went to a tree stand that was set up by another family friend.....anyway it was in the afternoon...we had got in the stand around 1:30 or 2:00.... we was setting there looking and listening, after about an hour and no sign or sound of anything my husband decided to rallte a little bit....Iwould say about 20 or 30 minutes after that he thought he heard a squirrel (he was looking to the right and i to the left) he turn around and she come out of nowhere....he got my attention and i turned around ,took aim and shot her a little bit to far back...he said shoot again.... i did and overshot her so he took the gun(marlin 30-30) shot her and broke her leg because he did not want my first deer to get away.......she field dressed at about 105-110 lbs...... there you have it!!1 thanks again....
