how do you put a trail cam pic on the computer so that you can put it in a post?

do you have a scanner? if so scann it then go to photobucket and click on download pic after loading click on the bottom img. line then copy it and paste it where ever you want to post it hope that helps

Once you've scanned the pictures to your computer, and saved them in "My Pictures" folder, found in "My Documents", follow steps below.

First you have to have the pictures saved in a folder on your PC.

Then you need to down-size them

Then upload them to a picture hosting site like http://photobucket.com/

Then copy the URL (address to your picture) and paste it in the post you are making.

Below are detailed steps

You have a program called "PAINT" on your computer already.

RESIZING Pictures

Download your picture from your camera to your computer and save them in a folder, where you know where they are. Best place is in "My Documents", and inside the "My Pictures" folder.

Go to your picture folder on your PC where the picture/pictures are stored.

Right click on the picture, then

(left click) on Open with "Paint"

Then, up top in the toolbar:

left Click on "Image"

left Click on "stretch/skew"

When the box comes up, change your height and width from 100% to 40% or 50% and then "left click" on "OK".

Let's say you chose 50%, and the picture isn't quite small enough yet.

You need to first undo, what you just did by clicking on "EDIT" and then "UNDO"

Then you can go back to "STRETCH/SKEW" and try maybe 40% or 30%.

If you want to keep one picture of the original size for future developing and one of the downsized for the web, click "Save as"... then re-name your picture and choose save as .jpg and designate which folder you want to save it in so you know where it is.

When naming pictures, don't leave spaces between words or numbers.

Here's how you open an account and upload pics to Photobucket...

Detailed Steps:

1. Log into your Photobucket account.

2. Click the "Browse" button to find the digital content you want to upload.

3. Find the folder that holds the digital content on your computer, click on it.

4. To personalize your digital content add an optional tag or title.

5. Click "Submit" to begin the uploading process.

6. When the upload is complete * Images successfully uploaded will appear on the top of your account page.

7. If you would like to add multiple pictures at once click the "Submit Multiple Pictures" drop down file, select the number of digital content that you want to upload.

Repeat steps 1-7.

Posting pictures in Forums

1 - Go to the picture you want to post in the forums, in your photobucket account.

2- Under each picture you will see:

.................................................................URL Link

.................................................................HTML Tag

.................................................................IMG Code

Left click on " IMG Code" and you will notice it lights up and says "copied to clipboard"

3- come into the forums, make your post, and where you want the picture put, just start a new line left click and select Paste

4- that's it. Just continue with your post like you normally do, and when you finished making your post it will show up in the forums as your picture

If using pic for signature. Left click on "URL Link "

Then come back to the forums and go to your profile and paste it in the appropriate box
