Guest tarbaby
Re: what kind of boat... I have been lookin for a boat for a year or so now. My buddy has a 19' Lowe Roughneck that we use for catfish tournaments. Its an aluminum flatbottom that is good for the river and shallower waters. It has a 70 horse Johnson I believe that pushes it around good enough to get across the big resovoirs here. The only downside I have found to it is when the water gets choppy you have to slow down a bit due to the flatbottom not cuttin through the water. magnatecsteve
Re: what kind of boat... I have a Coleman Crawdad 14 footer. I like it cause it's quiet since it's plastic, it's lightweight, nice swivel seats. I just have a trolling motor to scoot me round. Me and my buddy do alot of fly fishing on the smaller lakes for panfish. Works out great since I'm right-handed and he's a southpaw.. bulldawg
Re: what kind of boat... '72 Yarcraft 14' with a 35 hp. Chrysler and a console. Not the fastest boat around, but it's got room for a few to fish comfortably. I bought it last May. Now I put on alot of weight, and will probably be going fishing with the boat leaning heavily to the right side... Dawg

lil hunter
Re: what kind of boat... we have an old (i think it's a 93) bass tracker TX17. It gets used less and less every year. It also has a leak somewhere in the hull, i think under the keel, so we are hoping to buy a new jon boat hull someday, and use the trailer and motor from that boat on the new jon boat. That way we can still do what little bass fishing we do anymore, and use it as a duck boat as well.
