Re: Weight Lifters

I do 30 push-ups and 50 jumping jacks every morning while I'm getting ready for school. Then, on the weekends, if I have spare time, I'll lift the 10 lbs. dumbells I have for fun. grin.gif Then, sometimes I'll got to the YMCA with my friends. smile.gif

Re: Weight Lifters

I've been working out everyday for a few weeks now. I was out of it for a while, did some off and on, and quite a bit in college. We recently just got one of those Total Gym 1000 (the one advertised with Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley) workout machines and I have been on that for at least a half hour a day. I reccommend that machine 100% I love my freeweights but I must say, that machine works out every part of your body. I can do curls, benchpresses, military presses, butterflies, leg workouts, ab and shoulder workouts, and pretty much everything else you could think of on that machine. It works awesome! As for the freeweights, I usually work with 35 or 40lbs single arm and 70-80lbs for the barbell. Benching usually around 80-100lbs as well. Not sure what my max is with the freeweights since I only have 120lbs to work with at home. In college I could do 220 - 230lbs the machine. Legpresses were up around 1000lbs.

Also get a good workout at work too. I work at a GM dealer as a mechanic. Lifting tires, cylinder heads, transmissions, prying on stuff, lifting other stuff sure keeps you in shape. grin.gif

Re: Weight Lifters

My workout is somewhat complex....

But to make it simple for ya I work out at least 2 and a half hours everyday M-F.

MWF is chest, and biceps

TTH is back, shoulders, and triceps.

After my lifting I do 200 pushups everyday, and do 170lb weighted crunches. (On a machine)

To finish each day ( which I cheat and sometimes only do three days a week ) I run a mile and a half.

If anyone is interested in my full routine in detail to use as their on, shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to share!

My maxes are

BENCH-240

CURL BAR-140

ONE ARM CURL-not sure but I am pretty certain I can get 70

Leg pressing around 900.

Not sure on the rest of my stuff cause I mainly max out my bench only.

Ive been working out a good bit since last November and now am starting to take it really serious. Have started lifting with some monterous guys at the Y and there making me push my weight up almost every day on everything. Sat there today and watch one of the guys do 425 6 times it was pretty cool. If nothing else have been learning alot from them.

I go to the Y Monday Wensday Friday.

Monday chest and back

Wensday Biceps triceps and shoulders

Friday Chest and back

Tuesday legs

Sundays I do half a work out just like Wensdays

Workout for around 3 hours a day.

Re: Weight Lifters

I go when i can, i maintain a solid 250-275 on the bench, always try to hit my bicepts, tricepts, and traps. I love to parallel squat, still do sets of ten with 330. Do some cardio, more when the weather gets better. Dips every day, abs some. I am not in highschool anymore, i dont play sports, so i just do it for me.

The wieght room is where you have to be if you want to excell in any sport....

My cousin just got a free ride to University of Michigan as a tight end, and he was the first one in the wieght room and the last one out...

Thats where i spend the majority of my time other than the turkey woods...So hopefully i will have some scholarships coming my way in 2 years

Re: Weight Lifters

I've started back in the gym, but I mainly run for endurance. I'm a soccer player so I don't lift to get big, mainly just a firm core and toned. I have to be able to run an 11 minute two-mile for college so I'm working mostly on that sort of thing.
