tedicast
Re: Justify costs I just added up the reciepts for my Drenalin. Minus arrows, I'm at $1129. The only justification I can give is that I'm shooting the bow I wanted, set up the way I wanted. Thats pretty much the only justification I need. Bowtech Patriot II, Maxima Hunters, Cobra sight, Limb Driver Arrow Rest, and someother stuff.... To justify that I would have to say I already planned my huntin trips and yeah.... I got nothin!! Tecumseh
Re: Justify costs My bow 10 years ago was around $500.00 I'm sure it's more than that now,and I have about another $150.00 to $200.00 in extras. I plan to get a new Hoyt next year and figure I'll spend $700.00 to $800.00 and then the Extras. But it will be another 10 years before I buy a new one. arrow32
Re: Justify costs To be honest not much considering how much everything is worth on my bow. Got around 550 in the bow Id say. Got my sight for free and its a 100 dollar sight got my rest for 40 dollars its a 100 dollar rest brand new. Sold my other one and got 40 out of it so really broke even pretty much on the rest. VTbowman
Re: Justify costs If you can come in under $900 completely set up your doing ok. Thats not counting arrows. My complete set up for hunting is around $800. Add the other things you need to actually hunt. IE: the arrows, heads, and release. Add another $100 easy. This does not account for camo, boots, stands, optics/electronics, etc... LOL Man I hate to think of how much I have spent on "hunting".. ThethirdI
Re: Justify costs I have about $30.00 invested in my bow. Long story but that's all I paid for my bow that had a price tag on it that read $695.00 four years ago. The original bow broke and they didn't make the one I had anymore so instead of giving me the opportunity to have it fixed they just gave me whatever I wanted out of the current line of new bows to cover my warranty issue. Didn't cost me a dime except for my string loop and my prong rest.

Adjam5
Re: Justify costs Wow...lots of big #'s here. My 1st bow I paid $150 for, I added a pendulum sight and I was good to go. That lasted 4 years and then I was ready for the jump into a better bow. I went out in 04 and bought an Matthews Outback. It was $565 stripped and before all was said and done, without 2 dozen arrows, I went for like $900 out the door. Whats funny is.... alot of would not spend a grand on a gun, but we do not blink when it comes to a bow
JimT
Re: Justify costs I have about $800.00 total into mine. Want to play ya gotta pay... $800.00 is not alot to have into a bow really. Could be worse. I like my setup alot.
