Turkeygirl
Ok guys, I have 2 computer hunting games and I would like to know, is it possible for games to be outdated? My laptop has windows XP 2000 professional and the home computer has windows XP 2000. Both computer games are for Windows 95/98 and last night the wouldn't play right on our computers so I think that the games are too old for our computers, is this possible? By the way I am going to sell these games in the classifieds so any of those who are interested keep an eye out. The games are in great shape, haven't played them alot, and they still have theb oxes and everything.

RangerClay
Re: Questions for the computer knowledgable I had the same problem. Sell the games and buy some new ones because you will never make them work. Next thing you will have trouble with is your video or graphics card. Games are advancing so fast the computer makers cannot keep up with them. I just got a new game and I will have to get a new card if I want to play it. Jeramie
Re: Questions for the computer knowledgable [ QUOTE ] In a nut shell.......XP's platform hates 95/98 stuff! buckee
Re: Questions for the computer knowledgable YEP..I have XP PRO now and a lot of my old games won't play either. That's the one thing I hate about computers. You spend good money on games and programs, only to have them become obsolete and useless in a matter of a couple of years. HuntingInMaine
Re: Questions for the computer knowledgable I have the same problem, but on a few of the newer versions you can go to the game's website and download patches for the games so it will play on XP. Doesn't always go smoothly, but I have gotten a few of my kids' games to work doing this....
