I sent out the yote I nailed, back in december to be tanned to www.championtannery.com and they did and awesome job. I highly reccomend them. This yote was very sly all deer season playing hide and seek with us. It was not until a drive in muzzleloading that she succumbed to the CVA Wolf and a 295gr Powerbelt grin.gif

When we 1st became aquainted smile.gif bad pic with a cell phone camera.

I'm gonna hang the hide on the wall of our hunting cabin. It will make a nice addition.

Re: Just got my yote hide back

Thanks for the great comments.

It is very supple and soft. My son did the skinning job, it was the 1st yote he has skinned also. There are a few slices thru the hide that really can't be seen unless you look at the hide portion.

We thought about leaving the paws on, but it was our 1st yote skinning job, so we'd thought we'd leave that to the next critter we have tanned. It was dead for 10hrs before I got it home for Joe to skin, so we went the easy way out, no paws.

I am also having the skull done by a local guy here in NY. I'll post pics when I get it back.
