We got 3-4" of snow today. I decided to go for a little walk down to the boat landing again. I took some pictures of the ducks, geese, and seagulls. I even got pictures of a banded duck and some hybrids. Here's my photos below:

Re: 03/07/07 Ducks, Geese, & Seagulls In Snow

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I really love photographing animals. I could sit all day and just snap pictures of critters big and small.

Cody...I'm using a Kodak Easyshare Z612 digital camera to take the photographs. Not the top of the line digital camera's out there, but sure takes excellent photographs anyway!

PAStringKing...I could actually hunt most of these ducks that I photograph. I couldn't hunt them at the boat landing of course, but they do swim up and down the various neighboring shores and one of them happens to be public hunting grounds. I was excited when I saw a banded one in the bunch. I tried so hard to see the numbers on its band, but the snow kept sticking to the metal band. I could only make out the last digit is a "2" I think. I actually was able to walk up to it about 3-4 feet away before it jumped back in the water.

Randy...that Mallard Hybrid was a wacky duck. That thing got up in my face a couple times looking at me. lol The one picture I took made me laugh. The position he had his head titled made him look like he should been saying "Aflac". grin.gif
