Important message regarding new Daylight Saving Time change!

Daylight saving time (DST) will start three weeks earlier this year, March 11, 2:00 a.m., and one week later, November 4, 2:00 a.m., due to the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005. Unfortunately, most computers have been programmed for DST change to occur on the first Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October.

Remember to check your home PC as well as any devices such as timers, clock radios, VCRs, etc. that may have an automatic adjustment for DST. If the automatic adjustment cannot be turned off, you will need to change them again on April 1

LOL. Think I may just let everything be off an hour for a few days, get tired of resetting all the clocks, but then again I am sure our wonderful power company will have the electric flicker off a time or two between then confused.gif.

Oh yeah! We've been preparing for this at work.

Yeah, it's really no big deal for home computers. But work systems that put a date/time stamp on things need to be updated before the change this weekend. If you're running Windows, go to Microsoft's Windows Update page and download all of the critical updates. Or, you can go to Microsoft's website and search for TZEdit.exe (Time Zone Editor) and perform the change manually.
