Guest Clay008
I was on another forum today and read that it is not good to unload and load the same round time after time. In other words if you unload your CC at night and then put the same round back in the magazine and load that same round in the gun time after time. I was told this can lead to a catastrophic failure because the bullet is pushed farther and farther into the casing creating more pressure. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Guest Xen
Re: The Bullet in the Pipe... i always just take the magazine out and fire off the chambered round into the air before bed time... i'm kidding, but i have also heard that. HarvDog
Re: The Bullet in the Pipe... I usually keep one in the pipe most of the time now-a-days but when I do unload, I usually swap the top bullet. Sounds like I just need to NOT unload. HarvDog
Re: The Bullet in the Pipe... Looks like it's true. Even though I switch the top bullet now, check out the middle bullet in this picture. Evidently, it's been in the pipe a few times.

snapper
Re: The Bullet in the Pipe... Question is...why would you unload a gun you carry to protect yourself with. The only way my bullet in the pipe (on my carry gun) is unloaded....is through the barrel!
bowana
Re: The Bullet in the Pipe... Guys, it really should not matter. If the cartridge has recieved the proper amount of roll crimp then it should hold time and time again (the cartridge actually headspaces on the case mouth). I could see this happening with some handloads as the brass could recieve to much of a bell and then crimped too light against the bullet. I carry Corbon loads in my Glock33, you would never have to worry about that with a pemium factory load like this.

Check out these Corbon 135 gr. .40 rounds that a LEO posted on another forum. You can see a significant difference.
