Turkeygirl
Well here's what you all have been waiting for...my bow with Bucknasty strings: A closer up photo with peep and string loop: Form photo: What's good and bad about my form? I've tried to put the string more in front of my nose rather than off to the side...but I see I'm leaning back a little bit. May be due to having the shop raise the DW, but I lowered it when I got home, because I'm out of shape and haven't shot since deer season. I also think I need to raise my peep a little, it's tied in there good as you can see on the photo, but I may switch to a tubless peep, and if not, guess I'll just have to untie and re-tie. Oh, and the guy who was in the back room while I shot my arrows a couple times, said they were flying straight which means I did an ok job on the arrows. Still not sure whether to do 1" or 1/2" on the Blazers from the nock, will shoot some tomorrowwith the nice weather and see which flies best. I did'n't see much of a difference at the shop, other than the arrows flying low and to the right a little. Oh, and the guy was suppose to check the cam timing? How do they look? Guest bowhunter56
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow I would still suggest a kisser button, to give your self another anchor point.
Guest dedicatedmarine
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow yeah, kisser buttton ensures it's anchored in the same point every time -- it helps a lot.
Turkeygirl
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow Can you install kisser buttons yourself or do you have to go have a shop do it? And how much do they cost? I'm thinking it might help like suggested..
Guest bowhunter56
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow $1.99 for the basic one, you can slip it on your self...then draw to full draw, and carefully, have someone slide it up or down until it's at the corner of your mouth, let down slow and pinch the clips it comes with,,, just don't dry fire, when someone has their hand near the string... arrow32
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow You look pretty good to me on the form. Now get some video of you shooting so we can see what your doing Ruth. About that kisser wouldnt bother took mine off last week put the string on the tip of my nose now. Not sure if I like it better or not but if your doing fine and holding great groups dont change what works. JMO
Turkeygirl
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow I'm glad to hear some think my form is alright. Everyone on AT says my DL is too long and blah blah blah. Maybe it is a little but it works for me. I do need to get a new wrist strap because this one is stretched out and slips down my wrist. I'm going totry to shoot today or tomorrow at one of our round bales and get a better idea of how the arrows fly and just get some practice in,lol. arrow32
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow Ruth it is just a little but if your shooting good groups it should be ok. It might throw your grouping sometimes but I think youll be ok.
Turkeygirl
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow Well the string loop is maybe 1/4" longer than the metal ultra-nok I had on which maybe why it something feels slightly longer to me. String didn't feel any shorter...I think bucknasty pre stretches or what not with his strings.

Hoyt03
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow Looks awesome Ruth, i'm going to have to get me a set of those same strings on my new bow. I would suggest going with the kisser button. Some people dont use them, but some people also dont use releases, sights, peeps etc. It will not hurt you any and for 2$ why not try something that can make you a better shooter. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow Looks great Ruth, awesome looking string. John did a great job making it and that arrow looks great too! Going to be a killing machine this fall!
Bownarow
Re: My \"re-vamped\" bow It doesn't look like you are too stretched out to me. I'd say the draw length is just right. You've got plenty of flex in your left arm.
