VermontHunter
Re: Here\'s why Toyota signed who they did I think you are absolutely right Lou,,, I also used the word " dominate " . I should refrase and say they (Toyota) will be competative in time. Here's a little quote I'll use that I say on NASCAR.com ,, [ QUOTE ] Judging Toyota's performance after the first three races of 2007 is like determining the winner of a football game by the results of the opening kickoff. As fans of the Florida Gators and Indianapolis Colts would attest, that would be a rather foolhardy assumption. • Mark Aumann, NASCAR.COM [/ QUOTE ] All I can say for sure is that the game of racing isn't nothing new to Toyota,, and their presence will be noticed in time to come.... snapper
Re: Here\'s why Toyota signed who they did Lets not forget...if NASCASH wants Toyota to win...they'll just change rules to help...they'll either change something to make Toyota faster or everyone else slower. Sorta like they did with the Dodges a few years back!

It'll be very interesting when they start running the COT ,, when the aroe dynamics are all on an even playing field...
BowJoe
Re: Here\'s why Toyota signed who they did What always cracks me up is the fact that everyone thinks Toyota outsold the big 3 when they did sell them but had recalls for almost every one of them within a year not to mention the big class action lawsuit filed for sludge in the engines making them inoperable. Yeah, they sure are better.
Chrud
Re: Here\'s why Toyota signed who they did Where will Waldrip be again this weekend. I agree that NASCRAP could help Toyota more than others. But, they aren't going to get any big name teams, or dominate like they do in trucks. The truck series is very low on cash, and Toyota is there to spend cash. Makes sense that everyone goes where the money is. There is already a ton of money in the Cup series. I just don't see them being that good.

I'll put my money on a Toyota's mechanical reliablity over any "so called" domestic vehicle any givin' day... But's that's not what we are discussing here,,, what's on the table is Toyota's lagitamecy racing in NASCAR,,, and my opinion is that the car has 4 wheels and a motor,,, yep thats what I would classify as a car... and a American made on taboot.... JimT
Re: Where or where was Michael Waltrip on Sunday? Michael Waltrip is not a very good racer. He is very overrated, and I am suprised Napa has stuck with him this long.

He is very overrated, and I am suprised Napa has stuck with him this long. [/ QUOTE ] If he ran that car as fast as he ran that mouth of his he'd get the pole each week! He is like his brother, guess we can call him, baby jaws! I see now he is whining about how fast the Monte Carlos are, he drove one of those and he wasn't up there in the front the majority of the time. DEI was the best stuff he ever had, he is in trouble now with Toyota and Napa, they need better performance. He is -27 points in the hole, I have never raced cup but I am not even -27 points in the hole! Mark my words, he will NEVER win another race and I would be surprised if his teams don't fold after this season. He is a goofball and good in commercials, but with that you need to be a good driver, he lacks that.
Chrud
Re: Where or where was Michael Waltrip on Sunday? I don't think the team will fold. But, MWR will never win a race. It doesn't matter who is driving for them.
