Rayzorp
I decided this year I'm going to give carbon arrows a chance. That and a $60 certificate from basspro. Anyway, Goldtip web site recommends I get 7595 shaft based on my pull and broadhead weight, basspro recommends the 5575 shaft, so who do I follow? Just want to make sure I get right thing. Again and as always, any info is greatly appreciated Thanks
Gator
Re: Goldtip Question I'd follow GT's recommendation. Give us your bow specs, and someone here may have more input on it though
Rayzorp
Re: Goldtip Question Bowtech patriot, right now I use 29" Aluminum arrows with 125grain broadhead/fieldtips. 65 - 70 lb draw
Gator
Re: Goldtip Question Never mind, don't need draw length
Gator
Re: Goldtip Question If you were borderline 5575 or 7595, I'd say you could get by with the 5575's, but it looks like you are right dab in the middle for the 7595's, so I'd go with that, since that is what GT recommends
Chrud
Re: Goldtip Question If you are boarderline, always go with the stiffer spine. I shoot a 27 1/4" arrow, 100 grain points, 28" draw length and 70 pounds and shoot the 75/95's.
Straight Shooter
Re: Goldtip Question I've got two bows one on 65 # the other on 67# with a 30" draw length and the 5575's work just fine. You just don't want to get over spined with the 7595's, the numbers are the upper and lower range of draw weights they are rated at. You'll be just fine with the 5575's. Don't hold your breath. I gotta tell ya, I'm a little suspicious when retailers contradict manufacturers. Especially when the worst thing that can happen to them is you need to buy more arrows from them. If you have entered everything correctly in Goldtip's arrow selector, go with what they suggest
Rayzorp
Re: Goldtip Question I agree,, I feel safer going with the manufacturers recommendation, (as we all do in everything we buy) 7595's for me,, Thanks all,, again I'm glad I joined this forum
Rayzorp
Re: Goldtip Question Wouldn't you know it, I ordered 7595 shafts from Basspro, instead they sent me 5575's,,
