WABS
Just purchased a Mossberg 835 (3.5 inch capable) in Wetland Camo. Haven't gotten my hands on it yet but if the pictures do it justice it looks to be in very good shape. It has a 26 inch barrel and is ported. Bought it for $202...what do you think? terry264
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 When you get your "hands on it" and shoot some 3 1/2" shells through it, especially the 2 1/4 oz., let us know how the recoil is. Always wondered about that.
WABS
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 It's not new, but it looked to be in pretty good shape. Won't know for sure until I get my hands on it. I was looking for something to pump 3 1/2 inch shells through for goose season.

I dont remember feeling the recoil! But yeah, firing that puppy from the bench was an eye-opener! LOL!
WABS
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 I'll post some pictures when I get the gun in my hands. AJ must be on vacation or I'd of heard something from him like, "what not another Browning?"
too_pointer
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 AJ is around, just busy lately. And about the 835, I had one, shot some 3 1/2" through it, never been the same since I would at least put a slip on Simm's pad for your health !! LOL too_
dogdoc
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 that 835 gives a good kick. Never shot a 3 1/2 out of it--i stick with the 3" and they can be tough. Now my 935 I shoot 3.5 out of it all the time. good luck and sounds like you got a bargain.
WABS
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 Hey where were you guys when I was talking about buying a shotgun to handle 3 1/2 inch shells?? ;-) Actually the only time I'll be shooting 3 1/2 inch shells is when I'm goose hunting and I've never felt the recoil when I'm hunting. Bring it on!! I felt it was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up and it is the first shotgun that I have purchased (I have 11) that is camo'ed. I also really like having a pump for waterfowl because of it's reliability.
89importeater
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 congrats on the gun. i just got one from wally world about 2 weeks ago and love it, and i agree the 3.5 shells kick like a mule. the second day of shooting it i was hurting pretty bad from the previous day so i filled the stock with bb's to add some weight and it works great. of course im not going to have them in their for hunting though because I cant feel a thing when i fire at a real target. Adjam5
Re: New Owner of a Mossberg 835 Congrats on the 835. I own 2 of them and I cannot say enough good things about them. One is approximately 17 years old, the other one is brand new. The price you paid was a steal...no doubt. One thing you have going for ya is the porting. Thats helps big time. If its camo'd too, thats like a $200 item if you sent it out to be camo'd. You'll be happy with this gun and it will last you for years to come. Good luck with it.
