dodge4x4
ive found one gun that we use effetive and i like to use it, a 17mm. works great, its bullet are basically a 22 bullet with a pointed itp on it and if you wanna bait em, a really good technique is whenever you shoot a rabbit, squiierel, deer, or anything save their buts and stuff, just take em, sat em down like 20-25 yards down wind of ya and use a wounded rabbit distress call, at least thats what ive found most effective

Guest RkyMtn
Re: help with coyote hunting You may want to check your local regs on baiting coyotes. It certainly isn't legal everywhere. Also, while a .17hmr (17 hundreths of an inch, read caliber) is definately light for coyotes, a 17mm is definately a little on the heavy side, (.67 caliber). However, I am sure it would do well on those armored yotes, if your local laws allow taking coyotes with experimental millitary rounds. BTW you may want to verify the information you find on these forums with some of you huntin' buddies. Your deer rifle or shotgun is a good option if you aren't hunting for pelts. Good luck!
