toddpipkin
Re: Rosie Defending Terrorists??????? And just exactly what constructive action do you take once you have researched and obtained that information? You seem to advocate IGNORING the problems, and HOPING that they go away!!! If you find what they say on the internet, you have made a click on the hit counter for the page on which it appears. The owners of the site get paid advertisers based on the number of hits the page recieves. They then have to pay the providers of the content of their page. So, if a site carries a clip of Rosie O'Dognel, and you access that site to see what she had to say, the owner of that site gets money from those whoi advertise there, and in turn has to send part of that money to ABC for allowing him to show the copyrighted clip. And ABC pays Rosie' salary with it's earnings. So, by researching on the web, you have PUT MONEY IN HER POCKET!!! But if youwatch the idiots on network broadcast television, and complain to the sponsors of the show, you may cost them money. Or you may actually have an impact on what is shown on TV in the future! The fact that she is a homosexual, and promotes homosexual parenting convinced me years ago that nothing she had to say was of value. If I read of her latest antics on an internet talk forum, it hardly equals putting money in my pocket. I think my comments here have struck a nerve, and hit home. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with a lot of what you have to say. Keep in mind that ABC now is very distant from the family oriented programing they once tried to convey years ago. Disney like any other corporation will continue to evolve to keep the tastes of American culture, Desperate Housewives for example is what many Americans want to see. Cheating on your spouse, killing people, lying, getting rich at someone else's expense is what we have been brainwashed into thinking is ok. The more TV you watch the more you tend to believe and slowly desensitize yourself to societies evils. In a nutshell, the very few of us out there that still believe in the old morals of society are a dying breed, we can write letters, file complaints and threaten to avoid certain programming or sponsors product, in the end this does no good on their end to stop the behavior......but it may help save your family from becoming another new age zombie, in the end this is worth it. [ QUOTE ] we can write letters, file complaints and threaten to avoid certain programming or sponsors product, in the end this does no good [/ QUOTE ] I think you are wrong Michael. What about the Dixie Chicks? And the recent Jim Zumbo debacle is further proof that a group of people acting in concert CAN get things done!!! Outdoor Life is owned by the waaaay left-leaning Times-Mirror Corporation (The New York Times is their flagship publication). The decision of Outdoor life to fire Zumbo was brought about by the overwhelming numbers of negative responses to Zumbo's blog, and the results were nearly INSTANT!! I found the public outcry absolutely AMAZING, not only in it's immediacy, but by the depth and breadth of the reaction. The numbers were HUGE!! Then his other sponsors also quickly got the message. This same response needs to occur EVERY time some slimy "Hollywood type" or opportunistic, sound-bite politician slanders law-abiding gun owners. If we can go after one of our own like we did Zumbo, surely we can spare a little time to kick Rosie O'Doughnut off the TV and and cause actors like Richard Dean Anderson and Alec Baldwin seek a new profession!!! BowJoe
Re: Rosie Defending Terrorists??????? I think passinthru has a few good points but to bash our side by hacking specifically on Sean Hanniddy is not intelligent. He's one of the few that tell us what's going on in our world without the distortion of the left's influence. You seem to have a beef with both sides and that's fine for your oppinion but pick a straight one and go from there. I like Rush, Sean, Neal and Bill as well as "some" of Laura Ingram but even I disagree on occasion. I just don't think you can blame everything on one person and think that's okay. I think Ann Coulter is an extremist and not a weapon we need to win our battles. She's a female Howard Stern but she's right about a lot of things. But I do however think we need more people standing up to the left and telling them and the undecided that we will not be walked on like they are doing to Republicans right now. I know that every politician is crooked but to what degree and on what side is part of the factor as well. Rosie is like Ann Coulter. She's loud, has a podium in which to spout her hate and intolerance of people being intolerant of her life and she gets paid for it very handsomely. The whole point of it is that we ourselves are taking her and her type way to seriously and people are paying attention to her more when says her crap. Your internet is funding her as well so in order for you to turn her off, you have to turn it off and then your message won't be heard either. Personally, I wish it had never been invented or the internet. I could live without it and the nations health rate would be higher as well. wtnhunt
Re: Rosie Defending Terrorists-at it again Heard on the news this morning that the latest foot in the mouth comments from Rosie are accusing the British of demonstrating the act of their soldiers being taken hostage by Iranians, get this just so they can justify attacking or invading Iran. Really not surprising she makes these ignorant comments, a little surprising and very sad though that there are people out there who believe her garbage.
