Guest Andrea
Talking to a good friend about cleaning house. Made me think to ask you guys: Are you obsessive about how clean your house is?? Or do you prefer the "lived in" look, lol?? Or be honest...are you a complete slob??? ( Don't worry, we won't tell.........)
okiedog
Re: How clean? Until our son came along, my house had to stay spotless. since the arrival of our son I don't know if our house will ever be clean again.

Tominator
Re: How clean? My wife and I are very close to being complete slobs. I tolerate quite a bit, but sometimes get to the breaking point, and then kids and wife scatter when I start barking orders. I would much prefer to live with a neat person, but, pick your battles I guess.

muggs
Re: How clean? I'm sorta at a happy medium. We keep our place pretty clean but it can get messy at times. When it gets out of hand, we clean it up right away.
MCH
Re: How clean? I wouldn't consider my wife and I even close to neat freaks, but before the kids came along, we did pretty good. Now?? It just depends on what day of the week you catch us on. Sunday? We're clean. Mid work week?? Watch your step.
unioncountyslayer
Re: How clean? Having 3 inside dogs makes it pretty hard to keep the house "spotless" lol, but we try. Honestly I was your typical bachelor slob before my wife and I got married and she moved in. She is a neat freak and stays on me constantly to keep a clean house! I've come a long way. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: How clean? in my bedroom, i am a slob clothes all over the place...the rest of the house, i tend to try and keep clean, between my parents, my sister, and me, i am home the most, so i try to have things straightened up. mostly my goal is to have things cleaned up (vacuum, dishes put away etc..) before my mom gets home, so she doesn't have to do it in the morning

Jeramie
Re: How clean? Spotless, Spotless, Spotless....... Literally. My wife is Obsessive compulsive. I wouldn't NOT hesitate to eat off the floor. Everyone told her "Wait until you have kids, that will change!" but it didn't. Her mom was the same way and her 26 year old brother is too. He was actually given an award for the cleanest apartment in a complex and he is a bachelor. I wear white socks in the house all the time (pretty much every day) and even with wood/ tile floors the socks stay white. My wife is so bad that she will literally stay up until its cleaned. We had a New years eve game night a couple of years ago, we stayed up until 3:00 cleaning because she couldn't go to bed until it was spotless......... Hard to relax in a place like that. Always afraid I'll wrinkle something or spill something or whatever. Her mother and grandmother were the same. You could eat off the toilet seat. I like the house to be clean but don't want my company to feel like they're in a museum. Of course, that all may change once I move into my new house. I've already made up my mind that we will be taking off our shoes before we go inside.

She isn't guarded about the house at all. She just cant go to bed with it dirty..... She uses a clorox wipe on our stools every day..... So yes, you could eat off them.
