Great news

My wife took Joey to his physical therapy the other day. There was already someone in there so they had to wait to get in.While they waited Joey was playing on the floor, crawling, pulling himself up on things to a standing position, and climbing on the toys and such.Apparently the therapist doesnt get him to do this much while shes actually working with him.She wasnt aware he was doing some things like pulling himself up without help. They watched him for awhile and she pulled my wife aside. From what she could tell, Joeys now totally caught up with his age group physically.Theyre rescheduling his therapy sessions from twice a week to once a month, just to make sure he doesnt fall behind again. But all the therapy hes undergone for the last 6 months has really payed off.It mighta payed off to well as a matter of fact, the kids about imposible to keep up with and hes into everything grin.gif

As far as the fluid around his brain we are tired of screwing around with it.We will be taking him up to the Mayo clinic in Minnesota soon for an evaluation, the Des Moines hospital weve been working with keeps telling us the fluid should reabsorb itself, but it never changes.they only check him every couple months and while it hasnt been a problem lately with pressure hes starting to not sleep at night and becoming really fussy again. He hasnt slept much for the last week, Ive been in here since 4:30 this morning as a matter of fact frown.gifSo were gonna get another opinon, and at least another MRi to make sure that it hasnt changed any.

But the physical change in him has been like a miracle to watch, 6 months ago he would just sit in his car seat unable to even control his head, now hes all over the place.just wanted to say thanks again to everyone on here for all the support we recieved during this time.

Re: Great news

What a great early Christmas present for your family!!! I can just imagine how happy this makes you all! Glad to hear he is doing so well, this good news has really made my day after all the bad news that is coming across the television.

It sounds like the second opinion is a good idea, I pray that you get the answers and results you are looking for.
