Well i broke down and bought me a autimatic and went all out. I bought me a superblack eagle 2 with the steady grip. Loved it duck hunting but turkey hunting is a diffrent story. I cant get it to pattern. I bought a pure gold X-full choke hevy shot. I patterned next to my mossburg that has a kicks choke. And my mossburg pattern twice as good. And as my dad told me nothing will pattern as good as my mossburg. Its special and patterns amazing but i shot a box(all i had) and the mossburg had 82 pellots while my benille had 41. I was shooting winchester 3 1/2 6 shot. What's another choke i could try?? The box was a decoy box that was maybe 14 by 10"s And I know i need to get turkey paper targets but havent had time but still i feal it want pattern that great. any help be great. Thanks

Also try some different loads. 3", 3 1/2" no5 shot etc. Just keep trying different things until you get the pattern you want.

Exactly. Just because it will shoot 3 1/2" shells doesn't mean you have to. Sometimes 3" and even 2 3/4" shells pattern better than 3 1/2". I would buy a few more shells before I spent the money on a new choke. You can always bum a few off your dad or your buddies. grin.gif

That's correct. My 1187 won't pattern worth a flip with Winchester shells but does great with Remington #6's and 4X6's. My buddy's Beretta wouldn't pattern worth a flip with Winchester shells either. His was awesome with Remington Hevi #6's.

Every shotgun/choke combination is different about what shells will pattern best with it. You could easily buy another choke only to find out it won't pattern well with the shells you already have when the same choke does fine for someone else in their gun.
