Swamphunter
My arrows come in at around 371 grains total. Are these heavy enough for bears?? How do you determine the Kinetic energy for them?? My bow is set at 66lbs. Mathews Switchback XT 28.5 draw length.

Leo
Re: Minimum arrow weight for bear?? You've got enough K.E. that won't be an issue. The problem with lighter arrows is they are more likely to be deflected and turned by a strong bone than a heavier arrow. That means quartering shots can be iffy with light arrows. As long as you're using a stoudt broadhead and only take broadside shots, you should be OK.
