Dogg6
Well, my daughters bow finally got here today. She is 10 so she will have a couple good years of practice in before she can hunt. We went over to the archery shop just to get things ready to roll. We got the WB set right, peep in place, picked out a release. I have seen her this attentive in a long time. She was listening to everything the guy at the shop and I said. She took about 10 shots there, a little high right, but not to worried about that right now. We then went home to start on technique, anchor points, stance, etc. She shot for about 45 minutes before it got dark and boy am I proud of her. Granted it's only about 7-8 yards but overall she has a great start going. She is so excited and honestly, so am I. Here are some pics of her first time shooting a bow. Dogg6
Re: Daughter\'s 1st Bow [ QUOTE ] That's awesome! Bet you're a proud Papa! [/ QUOTE ] You bet I am. I'm not sure who's more excited. She got her first string welt last night too. When she did it, she looked at me and said "That really hurts, but I didn't drop my bow, just like you told me." If she's like the rest of us it won't be the last reminder to keep her elbow out.

Dogg6
Re: Daughter\'s 1st Bow Saturday my daughters and I did a little target shooting, that's my youngest (7 years old) in the middle with her bow. She's already telling me she wants a real bow to shoot with. Wow I never realized how close my older daughter's form is to mine. Evidently she has been paying attention more than I thought. Man am I proud.
