ruttinbuc
Re: swivellimb treestand These were on the market in th early 90's I believe. There was no platform with the original. I have the video that was a freebie from Dave Embry who was hawking the Swivel Limb at the Harrisburg show back then. Shows him sitting in the thing and SPEARING bears up in Canada. It looked like you could possibly kill yourself trying to get it on a "limb"as it's name suggests. He made it sound like the must have, but without a platform the device rally did look danged dangerous! Now with the platform and its ability to "use in any tree" it may be a bit safer. Personally, I'll pass! I don't see the need to have something with a seat that you are able to position all over the place. what is the point of the platform then? christsavedme
Re: swivellimb treestand I have never seen them before and after looking at the website kindof have mixed feelings. I like the fact that it can go on any tree, but at the same time.....if the tree is leaning forward then the platform is a pretty good distance from the tree. Therefore it would be a pretty good distance from your ladder or tree steps making it kind of tricky to make the transition from the ladder to the stand. I know I don't need any help falling, so I will just stick to the hangons we are using now and my climber and just stick to straight trees!
