AJ
Re: need help finding the right scope bases Are you saying the base lifts up or is there a gap under the base? If you have a mount that lifts up you can cut it shorter. Your other option is to call TC and ask them. They sell mounts for those barrels. toddpipkin
Re: need help finding the right scope bases The base doesn't rise. A standard Weaver-type base STRAIGHT, but the Encore barrel tapers. This leaves a gap under the front end of the base. Absolutely normal for the Encore. Guest nyhunter315
Re: need help finding the right scope bases a gap on a base mount is not normal thats a poor design on tcs end i own enough guns to know thats not normal and at 800.00 they could have done better
AJ
Re: need help finding the right scope bases Actually, TC does not design them. They are made for various barrel tapers and there really is no benefit of having it fit flush the entire way out.
