unioncountyslayer
Thought it would be neat to share a favorite verse for each day of the week. Don't know if this would be worth pinning or not, but I'll give it a start for today. Psalm 28:6&7 (The Message) Blessed be God— he heard me praying. He proved he's on my side; I've thrown my lot in with him. Now I'm jumping for joy, and shouting and singing my thanks to him.
buckee
Re: Verse of the Day I like the poetic version better Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped, My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. ~Psalm 28:6-

[/ QUOTE ] I like the plain english version better. Proverbs 28:13 13 You can't whitewash your sins and get by with it; you find mercy by admitting and leaving them. Tominator
Re: Verse of the Day One of my favorites: I Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. Exturkinator
Re: Verse of the Day Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. I love this verse, mainly because it is easy for my sinful heart to be "overwhelmed", and it reminds me that God is my solid refuge.
