You got your bluegills, sunfish, red-bellies, stump-knockers, goggle-eyes (war mouth) , crappie, shellcrackers, speckled-jims, and a few others. All are different. All fun to catch and eat. When I was stationed down there, my buddy and I used to take his flats boat out on the St. Johns in Brevard county and run that trolling motor until it died, all day affair. Man that was fun. Everytime I pulled something up George would say "mud fish," "bream,", "warmouth," "speck,"......... and on and on. Seemed there was no end to the different types of fish down there. [/ QUOTE ] That about sums it up, except we don't consider crappie as bream. We consider them perch or white perch. Shellcrakers are also called chinkapen around here too. We'll probably work on some bream next weekend while we're not turkey hunting. They are on the beds right now and pretty active. Oh and congrats on the big catch. Looks like you had a big day cleaning fish too.
