TreeWalker
OK, here's my first one for the Christian out there...End Of The Spear is a terrific movie...thrilling and soulful....about a missionaries work trying to locate a hidden tribe in the Amazon and spread the Lords word to them.......only problem as that nobody who has ever come in contact with them has ever lived to tell about it........incredible movie, based on a true story !!! Second on my list is actually three movies......the Left Behind trilogy.....which reflect on the end of time...the rapture....the anti-christ....how things may possibly unfold. It is fiction, yet it's not if you know what I mean.......it is a thrilling view which begs us to ask ourselves questions, and to cause us to think......a must see. christsavedme
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS Have seen all the Left Behinds except the last one....got to see it. Love the book series....got them all in hard back! There are several new movies that are about to come out.....can't remember the names, but I'll post them as soon as I find out! buckee
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS I have the left behind series too. Good stuff. The acting could have been better, but the message was great. I'll have to hunt down that first one.
MadHuntinPastor
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS Facing the Giants can be kinda cheesy, but is a real feel good movie. I loved Chronicles of Narnia too.
TreeWalker
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS MHP....how could I have forgotten about the Chronicles of Narnia, definitely a good show. And we all can't forget The Passion of the Christ....not that I could watch it all of the time, just because it is that powerful....but a must see if you haven't before.....but don't bother making pop-corn before hand, chances are you won't eat much of it. HarvDog
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS We really enjoyed The End of the Spear, The Passion of the Christ, Chronicles of Narnia, and The Nativity Story. I don't believe we've seen Facing the Giants. I have to agree with Buckee on the acting in the Left Behind movies. It could have been better but the message was good. Another to consider is One Night with the King. It's the story of Esther.
Guest Andrea
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS I REALLY REALLY like the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar". It was made in the early seventies. My mother loved it and she's the one who showed it to me when I was in high school. The music is awesome.

BearClaw
Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS End of the Spear was awesome! Went to see it twice when it came out and we brought it to church back in January! wildside
I'd recommend taking a look at "Something the Lord Made". Netflix carries it and so do many public libraries (cool and free place to borrow DVD's in case you never knew!). The movie is based on a true story of a medical lab technician, the relationship between him and the cardiothoracic surgeon he worked with, and the development of a little tube graft used in "blue babies". markyj987
Two movies I really enjoyed were "In the Beginning" and "Luther." "In the Beginning" I think was actually just a made for TV series and focused on the Old Testament--it was done very well in my opinion. I also enjoyed "Luther" as well. For anyone that also has an interest in history, it was pretty faithfully done as well and shows some of what spawned the Reformation. Missed160
"Something the Lord Made" is a very good movie. There is one from the mid 80's called THE BLACK ROBE, about catholic missionaries that is pretty good. A great movie that I think is telling the story of Jesus is THE GREEN MILE. Has anyone else seen this movie & do you think John Coffey is supossed to represent Jesus?
BamaTrae
I'm new here so this may have already been posted, but, "We are Marshall" is excellent!!! There are a few curse words, but the story is great! It's motivating, encouraging, and shows that the power of one person can overcome difficult obstacles. turningcustomcalls
Facing the Giants is a great movie if you can survive the first 30 minutes. It's horrible acting but the message is amazing. A friend of mine said he didn't know if the acting got better as the movie went on or the spirit starting working on your heart and you didn't pay attention to the acting.
