Guest Clay008
Who here has flex time where they work? For example: You are required to work 8 hours and as long as it includes the hours from 10-2 you are good to go. or You can work ten hour days and take off one day a week. Jeramie
Re: Flexible time... Yep, for the first time ever.... We can come in at three different times. 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00. You then work 9-hours (8 on Friday). You get the following Friday off. We are so busy I have taken one Friday off in roughly 6-8 months. Im working from 5:00 to 4:30 right now with a half-hour lunch.... The OT is great but I would mind taking that Friday off now and again! toddyboman
Re: Flexible time... I pretty much have the flexibility to come and go as I need as longs as my work gets done. If I work over time I can either take the ot pay or take it off someother time. Its GREAT!!
Tominator
Re: Flexible time... I do, thank God. I get to work everyday about an hour before I have to, so I get to leave about 15 minutes earlier than is recommended. I do stay if a student or parent requests me to, but that is rare. Flex time is nice because my kids get off the bus about the same time I get home so they're not home alone for too long. It's also nice during hunting season because it gets me in the stand about 15 minutes earlier than usual.
bfletch7441
Re: Flexible time... We have it too. everyone pretty much works 4-9's and a 4 hour day on Friday. 4-10's can happen if we need a day off for some reason. Ben
muggs
Re: Flexible time... You have it here at the agency. You can come in any time between 6 - 9:30am. If you get in at 6am, you can leave at 2:40pm. If you get in at 9am, you have to leave at 6:10pm. They really want us to come in at a regular time, so I usually start at 7:30, but it's nice when there's a traffic jam etc...
wtnhunt
Re: Flexible time... Used to have pretty flexible hours in my last job. Really was pretty nice. So long as I got done everything I was supposed to, it really didnt matter when I came or went.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Flexible time... I'm salaried and I'm the Department Head! I come and go as I please, but I do make sure that the work gets done. I tend to work long hours during the Summer and Winter, and much less during Spring (fishing!) and Fall (hunting!). Guest Clay008
Re: Flexible time... Sounds like there are a few people with some flex time running around. I need to work on getting some flex time to allow for some more hunting and fishin or doing what ever else needs to get done.
dg
Re: Flexible time... I have the option to. But I'd rather work from 6:00 A.M. - 3:30 fixed for 8 days, 6-2:30 for 1 day and have every other Friday off. It's called 9/80. And when we have the Mon. off for a holiday, most times I have a 4 day w/e.

HarvDog
Re: Flexible time... I don't really have myself or offer my staff "flex time" as described due to specific coverage and resource issues. However, I do allow them to work from home sometimes. I have that option as well occassionally when I don't have to be in the office for manager, staff, or strategy meetings.
preacherman
Re: Flexible time... My time at work is pretty flexible..........I am the only one on staff at the church, so things can get hectic from time to time. But I do have a deacon board who makes me take time off from time to time to relax.
