Who here has flex time where they work?

For example: You are required to work 8 hours and as long as it includes the hours from 10-2 you are good to go.

or

You can work ten hour days and take off one day a week.

Re: Flexible time...

Yep, for the first time ever....

We can come in at three different times. 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00. You then work 9-hours (8 on Friday). You get the following Friday off.

We are so busy I have taken one Friday off in roughly 6-8 months. Im working from 5:00 to 4:30 right now with a half-hour lunch.... crazy.gif

The OT is great but I would mind taking that Friday off now and again!

Re: Flexible time...

I do, thank God.

I get to work everyday about an hour before I have to, so I get to leave about 15 minutes earlier than is recommended. I do stay if a student or parent requests me to, but that is rare.

Flex time is nice because my kids get off the bus about the same time I get home so they're not home alone for too long. It's also nice during hunting season because it gets me in the stand about 15 minutes earlier than usual. cool.gif

Re: Flexible time...

You have it here at the agency. You can come in any time between 6 - 9:30am. If you get in at 6am, you can leave at 2:40pm. If you get in at 9am, you have to leave at 6:10pm.

They really want us to come in at a regular time, so I usually start at 7:30, but it's nice when there's a traffic jam etc...

Re: Flexible time...

Sounds like there are a few people with some flex time running around. I need to work on getting some flex time to allow for some more hunting and fishin or doing what ever else needs to get done.

Re: Flexible time...

I have the option to. But I'd rather work from 6:00 A.M. - 3:30 fixed for 8 days, 6-2:30 for 1 day and have every other Friday off. It's called 9/80. And when we have the Mon. off for a holiday, most times I have a 4 day w/e.

Re: Flexible time...

I don't really have myself or offer my staff "flex time" as described due to specific coverage and resource issues. However, I do allow them to work from home sometimes. I have that option as well occassionally when I don't have to be in the office for manager, staff, or strategy meetings.
