Recommend a 3D Vane

Shot with feathers in Paris, Tx, and I don't know what happened, but my feathers caught $$$$. When on the practice bags, they would fly forward, and separate, and I have NEVER had a problem like that, may have been the humidity. Anyways, I am look for a vane to try now. I have some Vanetec Vmax, but I am getting some screwy flight with these, that I don't remeber getting with feathers. Not a big fan of Blazers, but if they'll work, I may just try them. May look at Mini Blazers also. I am shooting standard size GT 5575's, pin nocks, and either 100 or 85gr tips, not sure what I will use there

Re: Recommend a 3D Vane

Vantecs I have ar 5gr, which totals 6gr heavier than the feathers I use now, but coupled with 85gr tips, just about evens out. They are the same weight as the 3D Duravanes. I don't know, I may just stick with the feathers............ But then again, I may try Mini blazers also

Re: Recommend a 3D Vane

I have been shooting 3-D for about three years now and all I shoot are the blazers! I just switched to the mini's this year. I hunt with the regular ones. I could tell a difference in the size of my groups with the mini's. My brother-in-law won nationals last year with them! Give them a shot, I think you will like them!!
