Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
if you haven't read the other post. here in michigan they are trying to raise the price of our tags...basically our wildlife department is broke (not sure how, but they are) so we are going to have to pay double what we do now (for everything, fishing, turkey, deer and so on)..if this thing goes through. i was just wondering how much everyone else around the country is paying for their tags (fish, deer, turkey). and want to compare it to what we would be paying if this goes through (which more than likely it would)
arrow32
Re: cost of tags in your state? Cant remember how much the sportsmans package is here. But you can kill one deer with a gun either sex and one deer with a bow either sex just by buying that. Then a trout stamp is like 12 bucks. Extra buck stamp for your bow is 20 as long as they didnt raise it not sure about the doe stamp think around 10. Extra gun stamp for a buck not sure for a doe 12 bucks. Really not to bad I guess. Better than other places I hear. Not sure about extra tags for other things ane what not.

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: cost of tags in your state? incase some of you want to know, we currently pay $15 for a deer firearm $15 for a Deer archery or $30 for deer combo, which is 2 tags, you can use both in archery, or both in gun, or one in each...one is a restricted buck tag (4 or more points on one side in gun) and one regular (buck with and antler 3 inches or more for gun) or you can use...or any size antlered or antlerless in archery, for both i believe i think it was $10 for a doe tag (antlerless tag) restricted fish $15 (good for all species except for salmon and trout) fish-all species $28 Turkey $15 small game $15 and the propsed prices Restricted fish $20 all-species fish $40 deer firearm $30 deer archery $30 deer combo $75 turkey $30 small game $20 IMO it isn't to bad...i think what everyone is really ticked about is the Deer and turkey licenses...the rest are decently priced, i can live with a $20 fish and $20 small game....but the $30 to just kill one turkey is rediculous...along with the $30 deer tags and $75 deer combo....if they were to start offering a lifetime hunting license, then i would be happy. Guest Racksnbeards
Re: cost of tags in your state? I quit buying my Iowa tags to hunt in other states, the conservation department here, can charge a resident $50 + for one deer (Tag, hunting lic, and habitat stamp), and a non-resident $350+ to kill one deer. But two young adults were only fined $1000.00 apiece for shooting a Bald Eagle. THe Iowa DNR needs to prioritize, and raise their fines and lower their fees. I thought the fine was higher then that, and on principle alone those guy's should of been hit with 10 or 20 times that, anyway, I think our tags are high, when our neighbors to the south, pay $30.00 for three deer. wtnhunt
Re: cost of tags in your state? Tags are not sold individually here. You pay for the different types of weapons you will hunt with and the tags are included in that fee. License here runs you: $28 hunting and fishing license $28 big game gun(includes: turkey, bear, deer) $28 Archery $28 Muzzleloader $21 type 94 non quota big game $31 waterfowl $136 for the annual sportsman License fees here have gone up, I usually hunt landowner. No license is required for landowners hunting their own farmland, but did pick up my hunting license and big game gun the other day and it ran me $56.
