EKYhunter
Re: opinoin on camoflauge [ QUOTE ] I became a big fan of Predator camo. Fall Grey for hunting out of tree stands during Late October thru mid December. I like the open blocky pattern much better then the photo-realistic patterns. I had also gotten their Spring Green for turkey hunting which this stuff will make you disappear. I still own several RT amd MO pieces of camo too. Mix and match works best IMHO. Dont get locked into just one design or pattern. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly! Have you guys seen this stuff in the woods? Without a doubt it puts the RT and MO patterns to shame. Now before I get jumped on let me say that I do not own any of this camo.....yet. Right now I own RT HD and HD Green and I think it looks awesome. Notice I said "I think." If you ever look at some predator in the woods or heck even pictures of it you will see what I mean. I saw some black and white photos of predator and RT HD on Archery Talk. The same person was wearing each outfit and was in the same position each picture. I was totally shocked at how the RT HD just blobs at distance, it was really bad. But the predator was awesome becuase it breaks up your outline. I think you'd be suprised at how much better the predator breaks up you outline in ALL situations not just those staged adds we all love to see concerning RT. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: opinoin on camoflauge [ QUOTE ] I personally think camo patterns are a bit over rated. I am getting some new Shadow Desert Camo for antelope and coyote hunting though. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that's the best for open terrain, but MAN, is it ever pricey! Advantage Max-1 and Natural Gear will both work out there too.
BearClaw
Re: opinoin on camoflauge I like the Hardwoods HD the best. I used to wear Mossy Oak but I thought it was a little dark and didn't break up the outline enough. It's good stuff because a lot of people wear it and it is effective, but Hardwoods is my personal favorite. The new AP looks good because at a distance, it should make you not look blotchy. Just my opinion. Whatever you wear, you have to have confidence in that when a deer looks at you, you have to believe he's looking through you! tedicast
I use a mix of Advantage timber, and Hardwoods HD, depending on the season. My next camo will definitely be the Predator line of camo. In my opinion, it is superior to anything out there, especially treestand hunting in the late season with no leaves on the trees. Here is my Bro, wearing his predator camo... 10yds standing 20yds sitting About 30yds standing 30yds sitting 10yds standing w/brush
Guest CajunHunter_7
Well I like using hardwoodsHd Grey and green and reg. But I wish they made one for the swamp. I am thinking about designing something for the swamp and submitting it to Bill.
