Hillbilly
At the local bow shop they have the Hoyt Vulcan at $609.00. I would have thought it would be around $700.00 or more. Is this because its a 6" Brace Height and is less forgiving?
VTbowman
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... $6000 for a new bow is about what I see just about everywhere. Yes some will be higher and some lower but that seems to be an industry norm lately for the new lines. JMO

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... when they get to $6000 I'll pass! I think now the top bows are so close in price that he that lowers his price may just when. $600 to $700 is fair, its when you start loading then up with accessories that it gets expensive! Guest HoppeMan
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... $6000???? I'll have a gray beard down to my knees before I can get me a new bow LOL Take care, Nathan
Leo
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... Amazing a typo hijacked the thread! $600 would have bought a dream rifle back when I started hunted. Bowhunting was supposed to save money. Re-useable ammo, cheaper than a rifle, anybody else remember those arguments? I'm only 40 and I sure do. My how times have changed! Some guys have more in their bows then I have invested in all my stuff. Wait till next year and buy the Vulcan on Ebay for $

The Vulcan and Vectrix at the pro shop I went to last Sunday were around $600 each. Seems to be the current going price for them new at the moment. Wait a bit and I bet that price will drop even more eventually. The guy said they weren't a very good selling brand for him this year like they were in previous years. Guest Hardcore
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... My first one was $32. It took about 5 months of cutting grass and doing chores as a kid to pay for it. At $6000 I am going to go cut a sappling and start building one. If folks are looking for a brace of at least 7" and they see this one has 6" could be that's driving low demand.
PAstringking
Re: Wow!!! thought it would be more expensive.... the vulcon isnt priced lower because of its brace height. it is priced a little lower because most people will go with a vectrix. pricing the speed bow a little lower will generate a few more sales of both. all thos comments about $6000 for a bow.....you must have been looking at an 08' Bowtech. the prices will be there soon.
