Guest HoppeMan
Do you feel bad when you get your truck stuck in the woods? Thats nothing. Was browsing around and found this video on YouTube. 7810 John Deere cutting brush and trees, got stuck, and had to get a big 4WD to pull the sucker out. 425 HP on 8 wheels with upper 2000 lb. feet of torque will get you out of anything!! LOL Take care, Nathan
Grant-KS
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? First tractor says "Who's your daddy?" 9000 series says "I'm your daddy." No thanks for posting that, I can't wait to get out and drive tractors again.

Tominator
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? I can't believe that strap didn't break. Diesel is cool. Articulated is the only way to go. Makes me want to go plow a field.

billkay
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? Not exactly a tractor, but this was a buddy and his truck he stuck behind our house. Another friend on the 4 wheeler helped and a little mud to it, just for kicks, you know.

Guest HoppeMan
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? Yeah, I was also surprised that the rope didn't break. Though the guy said that it was meant for jerk-pulling like that. But to be able to pull out that near-20,000lb. beast, dude, thats gotta be strong! wtnhunt
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? Did not watch the entire clip. Cannot believe they hooked up and tried to pull in reverse. Kind of stupid really.

[/ QUOTE ] First thing I noticed..you have little traction in reverse because the tires will "load up"..I did noticed they sounded..."FRENCH"....LOL Those tow ropes are made to strecth like a rubber band...you would not want to have one snap...you wouldnt see it coming! Ive been at the end of one of those missels..when a clevis let go...came right into the tractor cab and front wiondow like a shotgun blast..5 lb clevis did some damage to the cross bar at the bottom of the wimdshield and vered up and hit the roof of the cab leaving a good dent about just to the right and above my head...didnt even know it came into the cab until my neighbor opened the door and pointed to it laying there..boy was he white as a sheet!!..LOL I looked at him and said.."guess the Lord dont want me home today"!! wtnhunt
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? Let a little more of it load, but still never did watch the entire clip. They should have started out pulling forward, still think that was pretty stupid. Looked to me like by the time they figured out reverse was a no go, they had it rutted up so bad, the tractor with duals was just marring down in the ruts he chewed up. Agree with you Martin on the straps too, they can be pretty dangerous. Think jerking on tractors like that too, can be a little damaging to them as well. Guest IL_HuNtIn_KiD
Re: Feel bad when you get your truck stuck? as oneida man said...the clevices are much more dangerous then those ropes we had to use one to pull a tractor out of a creek when the bridge that we used to go over the creek from field to field broke when it had a tractor and two full wagons on it, however WTN they started off in reverse because reverse is the gear that is geared the lowest there for it is the gear with the highest torque
