Chrud
Re: Martinsville [ QUOTE ] I just had to go back and hear the post race interview again... and man I just don't see what you guys are reading into it... Here's the quote from his interview in text version [/ QUOTE ] You need video version. Just look at Jeff's facial expressions after the race. He looked like he was ready to punch someone. IowaDeerHunter
Re: Martinsville Yeah I thought Gordons Interview was weird also, he said like two oppostie things. First it seemed to me that he was POed at Jimmie Johnson for blocking him so hard. Hey isnt that racing and I am sure he would have done the same, I do not think JJ should or would just let him go because he is faster. Second he came back to say JJ was doing what he should have been doing. Huh, that is just the opposite of what he said before. Whatever, good for Junior on a 5th place finish! Who won? dg
Re: Martinsville JG rams Hamlin and takes 2nd. QUICKLY charges several car lengths and catches JJ. JG then runs 30-40 laps kissing JJ's car and doesn't pass? JG is a partial owner of the 48 car. Pete Rose is a coach of the Reds. He bets the Reds will win. His bets gets him suspended from baseball. I'm assuming because of partiality? I see a comparison here. One is okay, but not the other. JG had the dominant car but did not treat JJ the same as he did with Hamlin. Nick
Re: Martinsville [ QUOTE ] But, being fixed and all, it should have been called at the rain delay. That way Jr Could have gotten his win for the year out of the way. ROFLMAO [/ QUOTE ] Thats why it is fixed....They want the Hendrick cars to win. Kind of like the "debris" caution with the race winding down and Tony Stewart WAY out in front of Jimmy. Or the time in the pits he should have went a lap down but the nascar official grabbed his tire and overlooked the penalty.
Guest HoppeMan
Re: Martinsville Thumbs up for Jimmie, though my favorite is Tony Stewart, and he finished OK, I guess. But Jimmie is a close second, so good job JJ!!! Take care, Nathan
Chrud
Re: Martinsville Carl Edwards calls into a local radio station each week and even he was curious why Gordon was so upset with JJ.
snapper
Re: Martinsville I thought the two races with the COT were boring because we could have avoided watching hours of endless circles/comericals etc... and just watched the last 10 laps. Even the last 10 were boring because the only ones on the track were the #24 and #48...at least thats what I thought watching it on FOX! I was surprised to learn that all the other cars raced the entire race...I thought they all went to the pits to watch the end of the race. Guess if FOX would show some other cars the last 10 laps...I would have known. Oh...what the heck was the 10 or 15 lap caution all about? Lets see, DJ loses a wheel and Harvick catches on fire at or around the same time. Nascar picked up the wheel and they put out the fire...Harvick drove the car off the track, yet we had several (AT LEAST 10 LAPS) of caution...FOR WHAT? texastrophies
Re: Martinsville Couldn't help but notice that, also. Of course the great tv coverage failed to mention anything about it, unless I fell asleep during that portion of it. Before long, there won't be anybody watching or caring about it.
