tedicast
We shot Algonquin Archers in Woodbury CT today. It was a beautiful day to shoot. We had 9 shooters , so we had to split up into 2 groups. I scored a 248, which is my norm. Jen shot a 191,which was very good for her second shoot, and from the hunter stake. Nick shot a 247 from the cub stake, and Kris shot a 217 from the traditional stake, which is at least 40 points off his average. Dave wouldn't reveal his score...lol In the second group, Scotty smoked us all, and probably won our class with a 290. Yes a 290, thats not a typo!!! Great shooting bro! Virg shot a very respectable 269, with John just a few points behind at 263. Cliff shot his best outdoor score ever in the high 230's. It was a very fun course. A few tricky shots. All in all it was a great day. Except that the kitchen ran out of food!!!! They said with 190 shooters they were wiped out of food. I got the last 2 hotdogs they had, and had to have them on hamburg roles. Have to get an earlier start next time so we don't miss out on the food. All the deserts, except for the cupcakes were even gone!!!! Here are the pics I took today.... Me trying to sneak one through the trees into the "X" on an elk. Jen about to smoke some foam... Nick at full draw......his form is looking good!!! Dave, just after letting one fly... Kris about to kill some foam... Nick about to let one fly, with Dad, and big bro watching..... Jen showing off her "Archery Chick" shirt.... Me about to let one fly... Ok people...how do you score this one???????
MCH
Re: 4/1 3-D, algonquin archers Nice pics, bud! Jen's looking like a pro already. On the last photo, if you were scoring ASA, I'd call that arrow a 10.
tedicast
Re: 4/1 3-D, algonquin archers Thats how we called it. We scored it a 10. Jen is doing very well. She is comfortable shooting, and having a blast.
