5SHOT
I am going to Ok in 2 weeks for Rios. I am not interested in getting a full mount done at a taxidery. I would like to keep the cape and legs and beard... would it be better to bring the whole bird home frozen and cape it out at home or would it be easier to cape it there and freeze it and transport it home. My only concern of that is will there be any damage or more chance of blood on the cape this way rather then transporting the whole bird home? And if not, should I wrap it in anything special or a certain way??? Thank you..
RTF
Re: Travling Advice Skin it out there and freeze it. Be sure to bring along some borax and apply it to the fleshy side of the cape. It will soak up the fluids. Bring it home in a coler full of ice to keep it cold.
