Guest Clay008
My Fiance and I are looking into getting an Airedale and, I was just curious if anyone here has ever owned an Airedale? We visited the breeder the other day and they seem to be very active dogs that like to know what you are doing every second. It was pretty funny to watch them at the breeders home. When she would look at something they would check it out too. Then if one of the other dogs took off to look at something they would all follow. Looks like they would be alot of fun to own but at the same time they look like they could be a handful.
coles
Re: Airedale Terrier.... my dads friends have one and he likes to kill skunks, loves to kill cats, chickens, anything little that moves. one weekend they came home and there was 2 or 3 dead skunks in the back yard that he had killed and no smell. they are breed to do that and chase things so jsut make sure you train them to stick close and introduce them to cats and such at a young age. Guest Clay008
Re: Airedale Terrier.... lol! I don't mind the cat thing to much but, I don't think I want to come home to any Skunks on the porch.
007hunter
Re: Airedale Terrier.... My best freind has one. I think his is going on 10 years old and you would think that she was still 6 months old as much energy that dog has. It's a very hyper and wound up dog. Its' not bad or anything just has plenty of energy...
ryan1990
Re: Airedale Terrier.... My school mascot was the Airedale. A boy in school owned the dog that was the actual mascot. It put up well with the attention and being around a school full of kids all the time. I have heard that some of them have a mean streak though. And our football team was one of the best in the stae of Arkansas.
RangerClay
Re: Airedale Terrier.... They need TONS of exercise. It is definately not a dog to be left indoors all day while you and the Mrs. are at work.
Guest Andrea
Re: Airedale Terrier.... Some friends of ours has one. Very curious. And pretty darn big!!!! I have a jack russell and I don't think I could handle a dog 5 times her size with the same amount of energy.

Randyman
Re: Airedale Terrier.... I have friends who use them as "kill dogs" for Coyote hunting. They are fearless, and the Yotes don't stand a chance with them. Don't let their looks fool you, they can take care of themselves!
