kraabel2003
Looking at buying a new video camera and I wondering what you guys think I should get. I would like to spend 200 to 350. I am wondering about how them little cams work that I have seen people tape on there gun or bow, do they just plug in the video camera? I am thinking about getting a minidv because I heard they are easy to work with. thanks for any info.

bowhtr1
Re: video camera I like the Sony's also. My last one took a beating after dropping it twice from my tree stand. I thought I finished it off when I fell in a creek with it in my hand. After it dried out it worked again but has a slight halo effect while filming. I bought a new one about a year ago and got the mini DVD. It is the DVD92. This one had the biggest optical zoom at the time. You want one with the biggest optical (dont fall for the big digital zoom) zoom you can get. Good luck.

wtnhunt
Re: video camera Mini dv has to be transferred to a dvd. Can use editing software with a pc and burn to a dvd after editing, or can use patch cords if you have a dvd recorder to burn directly from the camera to a dvd. bowhtr1
Re: video camera I can take mine out of my camera and put it in my DVD player and it plays on my TV. It will also play on my computer. I do have a Sony DVD/VHS player on my TV which might be why mine works. My DVD/CD dive on my computer is Sony also.

bowhtr1
Mine is a small DVD. It fits in the small spot on my dvd player and computer. this is the small circle in th bottom. The DVD only says DVD but it is much smaller than regular DVD movies I play. I have the DCR-DVD92 Sony camera.

ParsonsOutdoors
Go with MiniDV. There are many affordable editing programs that you can do anything you want with your project. i don't believe there are any progams available to edit MiniDVD...that I know of anyway. Mountaineer
you guys know of any good sites that sells cameras? beachcamera.com is my favorite site for cameras. I got my camera and camcorder from them for the cheapest price I could find.
wtnhunt
you guys know of any good sites that sells cameras? Might check out butterfly.com. I bought both my sony handycam and my minolta digital slr from them. They have good prices, just be forewarned that many of the online places will request you call them back after you order and try to upsell you on items you dont need.
